Despite one baby cold, two pink eyes (Jason this time), and five hours of mid-night teething issues, we had a great Thanksgiving weekend at my parents' house in Port Clinton.

Miles enjoyed his first Thanksgiving meal - mmmmm...Oatmeal. When I had my back turned, the rest of the family members decided to school him in another family Thanksgiving tradition...drinking! They'd never actually let him drink from the bottle (which was sparkling grape juice at least), but he sure got practice in how to hold it for when he turns 21.

On Friday we got to visit with Miles' Great-Grandpa and -Grandma Woodling, which meant beer and cheeseballs! We had lots of fun hearing about Grandpa's recent trip to Washington, D.C. on the Honor Flight to visit the World War II Memorial. Unfortunately, I hadn't figured out my new camera yet - I had it set on night vision until a few days ago - so this was the only picture that turned out. Miles loves his Uncle Craigy!

Heidi and Darren came up the next day, and, thanks to Nana and Papa, we got to spend a night out on the town without the babies! While the daddies were freezing their heinies off in Cleveland for the Browns/Colts game Sunday, Miles enjoyed hanging out with Janelle, his platonic compadre, cherished colleague, and trusted ally....definitely NOT his girlfriend. Darren might break out his shot gun if I say his little girl has a boyfriend.

In other holiday news, we spent this last Saturday finally putting up our Christmas decorations. This little rosy-cheeked elf liked staring at the lights, but he mostly enjoyed eating the wrapping paper on the few presents we let him open.

This last impromptu post-church photo makes me chuckle. He looks like a little preppie man, about ready to enjoy a pipe in front of the fireplace with a good book and a glass of scotch.

Scotch? Really? He'll be a bourbon lover like the rest of us!
I was going to wait until he was 21 months before I introduced him to the wine bottle, but the family thinks he is an advanced learner.
I'm glad to see he's using his Boppie in a new way!
Love you!
